Yoga for Littles.

Bringing Yoga to your Preschool

Why yoga?

Yoga is not just about practicing poses or sitting still. I integrate the roots of this practice into a lesson plan that young kids can follow and appreciate. The purpose of our time together is to assure kiddos that their feelings are welcome, and we can learn positive behaviors to help manage the big ones! Yoga gives kids and grown-ups the tools to be more grounded, compassionate, and happy members of their communities.

Connecting to classroom themes.

I use songs, books, and themes your kiddos may already be familiar this. Connecting in this way bridges the gap from classroom learning to yoga play. I often center my lessons around seasons, counting, colors, and other common preschool pillars.

Making space.
Wherever there is space.

Outside? Sure. On the carpet? Cool. I’ll work with whatever space is available to us - whether we have room for running and jumping, or need to stay on our yoga spots and keep it to smaller movements, I’ll accommodate your surroundings.

Collaborative Approach.

Yoga happens even after I leave your classroom! Teachers will understand and appreciate the concepts covered in class - and many of the activities I introduce require only your body, or props and materials that are already in your classrooms, meaning yoga can continue in between sessions.
